Where We Work — Chattanooga, North Georgia & the Plateau

Ten communities across two states — ridge foot, valley floor, lakeshore, and plateau top, which are four different foundation problems.

Chattanooga Foundation Co. serves Chattanooga plus East Ridge, Red Bank, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Hixson, Ooltewah, Cleveland, Fort Oglethorpe, and Ringgold — free measured evaluations across all of them, in Tennessee and Georgia, with travel quoted honestly rather than hidden in the line items.

Four kinds of ground, and they need different scopes

This service area spans real variation, and it shows up in every estimate. Ridge-foot communities — East Ridge, Red Bank — take concentrated runoff from land above them, so interception uphill leads nearly every scope. Valley floors — Ooltewah, Cleveland — look level and still receive what the ridges shed, with residual soil over limestone varying sharply lot to lot. Lakeshore ground — Hixson, and the eastern edge of Soddy-Daisy — carries a higher water table, shifting the problem toward sustained moisture and crawl space work. The plateau — Signal Mountain — is genuinely different rock: a sandstone cap rather than valley limestone, thinner soil over it, quicker pier refusal, and none of the karst considerations that apply below.

That variation is why we never quote a standard pier depth or a standard drainage package. Each page above reads its own ground — and the evaluation reads your specific lot.

Two states, one geology

Fort Oglethorpe and Ringgold sit in Catoosa County, Georgia, on exactly the same Ridge-and-Valley ground as the Tennessee side — residual clay over limestone and shale, ridges shedding water into valleys. The soil doesn't notice the line. What does change is permitting and inspection, particularly on retaining walls, where height thresholds and engineered-design requirements differ between jurisdictions. We work under whichever set applies and say so in the scope.

Somewhere between towns, or just outside this list? Ask — regional travel gets quoted honestly.
